As a subject, Psychology has made significant progress since it was first recognised as a scientific discipline. A considerable part of this progress has been based on a number of ground-breaking studies which have contributed to Psychology’s current status as one of the most interesting and inspiring subjects within Social Sciences. This module will introduce you to a range of important studies that represent key moments in the history and development of Psychology. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to examine methods used in these studies and to consider their wider implications.
