FPC3011-25-UOB-A Creative Explorations

This module gives you the opportunity to explore the way in which both traditional and digital media shape communication and creative expression. You will work across areas such as photography, animation, video, 3D design, and interactive content. You will experiment with studio-based photographic techniques and advanced image manipulation, using industry standard software to enhance your creative outcomes. You will also develop practical skills in both digital and traditional printmaking, typography, character design, and sculpture techniques, integrating these into your innovative project. You will experiment with AI, applying both creative and critical thinking to your projects. You will consider how your work can communicate meaningful messages and reflect on your responsibilities as a creator.

 

You engage with contemporary creative practices throughout this module by working with both traditional and emerging technologies, including AI, studio photography, advanced image manipulation and digital fabrication. This helps you understand how current industry methods and technological shifts influence creative communication and production.

 

The module also recognises your needs as a foundation-level learner.
