This module is designed to provide students with a strategic view of exploitation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for advancing business performance, business efficiency, service improvement, and competitive advantage. It addresses the formulation of e-business strategies and associated ICT requirements for the modern organisation, such as the application of e-procurement and Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR). The module also examines issues such as aligning the organisation's strategy with its technology investments, and gaining competitive advantage and reducing costs through the use of e-commerce to deliver products or services, at a reduced cost. This module covers the elements of Contemporary and Choice of the 6Cs curriculum design. The former allows students to gain knowledge in utilising modern and practical technologies to advance business and supply chain performance. The latter is deemed applicable as this is an optional module that students can select to specialise in. The GAME+ attributes emphasised in this module are: Professional Identity and Skills Mastery.
